The blog today comes to you thanks to:

We offer that additional capacity which our customers need during periods of high training volumes, offering them the same reliability and comfort that they would have within their own installations, while utilizing their instructors.

More Job Opportunities

Although there is talk in the country about the crisis and how it is affecting thousands of workers and many companies, it seems that this is not the case for Wal-Mart in Costa Rica.

Although they have made reductions in their payroll so far this year, the company announced that 1,000 more jobs will open this year in the new supermarket that it will open in the country.

The Director of Corporate Communications for the chain, Aquileo Sanchez, said that the company will invest $29 million in opening stores throughout Central America, but it is because of this process that it laid off 60 people from the administrative areas to reinforce sales.

But the picture in other industries is not as positive. Florida Beverage laid off 136 people, which is 5% of its payroll and it also said they have postponed some investments that are not urgent, renegotiated prices with suppliers and streamlined investment in marketing. In the case of Scotiabank, it laid off 10% of its employees which represents 120 people.

At TicosLand.com, we hope that things will be different and that the economy can be reactivated.
